Day 145 Jan 23 2016 Laurieton 11:00am
Way back in the day when the grass was still green
and the pond was still wet
and the clouds were still clean,
and the shells of the oysters still clung to the shore…..
One morning I came to this glorious place.
And I first saw the trees! The Truffaloe Trees
The grey-coloured tufts of the Truffaloe Trees!
Mile after mile in the fresh morning breeze!
Ode to The Lorax by Dr Seuss
As I lined the spent stems of the aloe vera plant along the shoreline of the river entrance at Laurieton I was reminded me of the Truffulla Trees in the classic story of The Lorax by Dr Seuss.
