Day 148 Jan 26 2016 Old Bar 5:45pm
Ali versus Silas in a classic game of dots and boxes at the beach on Australia day afternoon…….and the winner was ? (see if you can figure it out)
We are a game family…….my Mum hated hearing us say we were bored as kids…..so her ammunition was games.
With 4 kids there was always someone to verse……and yes we were pretty competitive, none of us really liked losing much…..so score sheets were kept and tallied by all (haha! she was very fair)
Now the tradition has been passed down to our own kids…..and I hate to admit it but my 11 and 15 year old kick my butt in almost all of them.
So yes I was the winner of dots and boxes today and my victory dance was sweet and long! Haha!
Rules of the game:
Start with an empty grid of dots
Players take turns joining two horizontally or vertically adjacent dots by a line.
The player that completes the fourth side of a square (a box) claims that box with their initial and must play again.
When all boxes have been initialled, the game ends and the player who has their initial in the most boxes wins.
