Day 230:figures from time past

Hiding in the spice coloured grasses that no longer have life, are the rustic figures from times past.

The figures are part of a metal sculpture by artist Sue Finlayson concerning the plight of the boat people. The grasses were from a dead plant still standing erect in the yard.

It is only with hindsight (and not originally intended in the moment of play) that I found my collaborate response interesting as a symbolic metaphor for the concealment around the plight of these people.
