Day 333:gently unfurling

My little friend Finny and I were fascinated at the way the food colouring sat suspended in the bucket of cold water we had collected.

Four year old Finny would let just a couple of drops of colour fall in the water, then we would both sit and watch….mesmerised as the colour slowly unfurled like an orange, then blue jellyfish….undulating as its edges found a warmer current in the bucket….. expanding and contracting as though propelled by some unseen force…..only to lose its autonomy as the desire to stir overcame the need to watch.
